Iron deficiency

Iron deficiency Dr. Mujahid Gibran
When iron is reduced in the human body, the substance called hemoglobin in the red blood cells, which is responsible for transporting oxygen, becomes less and it is not able to deliver enough oxygen to the body. It causes iron deficiency or anemia.

In such cases, in addition to fatigue, the patient is weak and tired, has chest pain, nausea, headache, mouth sores, sore nails, and loss of appetite due to shortness of breath.

The lack of iron in the body is mostly due to the lack of food or low intake of some food items that have relatively high iron content.

Meat, leafy vegetables such as spinach, beans and eggs are rich in iron.

Also, this problem occurs due to the loss of blood from the body such as injury, repeated bleeding, increase in menstrual diseases in women, and insufficient food in single mothers.

This condition also occurs in children born with low weight, or children born prematurely, and children who do not eat mother’s milk or whose diet is not correct.

People with digestive system diseases such as stomach ulcers, celiac disease, hemorrhoids or colon cancer or other problems may suffer from iron deficiency.

Women, especially single mothers, especially vegetarians who do not eat meat, and children are more susceptible to this disease.

Iron deficiency or anemia can cause heart problems, maternal and child morbidity in expectant mothers, and stunted growth in children.

So, if you know that you have these problems, seek advice from a specialist doctor and avoid self-medication.

To prevent it, use more iron-rich foods in your diet as mentioned above.

We will remember that the increase of iron in the body is also very vital organ of existence; That is, it can cause destruction.
